Planned activity for 2019 and 2020

During the year we want to collate the views of those working within FoodTech on the impact that Brexit may have on the sector.

We believe London is the most innovative food tech capital in the world, we want to ensure the sector's interests are represented to investors, government and corporates.

We also want to continue to grow a collaborative community of organisations involved in FoodTech and to promote the sharing of skills and knowledge between them. From there we aim to highlight their contribution to technical innovation and the wider positive impact the food sector has on communities, health and employment.

In 2019 and 2020 we plan to:

  • Significantly increase the number of TLA FoodTech Working Group members in order to enhance our range of expertise and reach.
  • Ensure our definition of FoodTech as published in our book "FoodTech UK" is better understood.
  • Help large corporates engage with smaller innovative companies who are disrupting the processes, production and services surrounding the whole sector.
